Every person has beliefs regarding their existence - why they exist, how they came to exist, and causes of their existence – even if they are unwilling to communicate about those beliefs. There are two basic kinds of humans in this regard – those who believe a Creator or Designer is the cause of their existence and those who do not. The former are reasonable, the latter are not.
For a simple undeniable truth is this...that which evidences design requires a designer.
Those who believe that which requires a designer had no designer should also believe that a computer came to be by merely the forces of nature.
Furthermore, those who believe that human beings are merely physical with no metaphysical or spiritual component ought to also believe that a computer operates merely by its hardware with no software!
Every person who says they believe God exists or that they know God has some source or standard upon which they depend in order to believe that, even if it is ‘I just do’ (which is a totally subjective standard with no objective thing cited).
We who follow Joshua have two primary means we look to in order to…
This article is not addressing the former method addressing God’s existence…of the fact that machines – whether the simpler machines men create or the amazingly complex bio-organic machines with their inter-dependent sub-systems that are living organisms - require a designer to reasonably account for their existence. Please see Am I More Than Molecules or the video series, Does God Exist?.
This article puts forth how we know what God is like and what he wants of us.
Simply put, our only objective (based on facts recorded from eye-witness testimony, not emotions or opinions) standard for knowing what God is like and what he wants from human beings, is the person of Joshua of Nazareth. To be clear, we base our understanding of God and what God wants based ONLY on the words, sayings and teachings of Joshua of Nazareth as recorded in the first four books of the new testament (John, Luke, Mark and Matthew), NOT on any other person or alleged source. While we are grateful for the context the writers of the four books that record Joshua’s life, we do not look to them or their opinions about God or about why they thought Joshua said or did something. Rather, we base our faith on the person of Joshua of Nazareth and his deeds and words alone, period.
In regard to the widely held false belief that the bible is 'the word of God' and should be people's standard for knowing God, please see Is the Bible the Word of God? and the video series, The World's Darkest Book Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 of why that is false.
In regard to Joshua of Nazareth being the best means to know what God is like, please listen to him:
Here, Joshua says he is the accurate representation of what God is like…he speaks exactly what the Father wants him to speak. Why should we believe Joshua's claims? Because of his miracles which validate his message and teachings.
Joshua does exactly what the Father does. The Son does what he sees the Father doing, and the Son brought love and compassion and healing to human beings.
Joshua does not teach what he wants, but rather teaches exactly what the Father tells him to.
Joshua does not speak his own words, but speaks the words of his Father. Those who do not love Joshua also do not love his Father (God) and they do not do what he says. Those who love Joshua do what he says. And his core and primary teachings are love - selfless behavior motivated by compassion for others.
Joshua does not speak his own words, but speaks the words of his Father.
Joshua does not speak his own words, but speaks the words of his Father.
So to sum up, Joshua of Nazareth did not teach what he felt like teaching, but rather, he taught the desires of the Creator, the living God.
Joshua did not err or sin, and thus his representation of God was flawless. No one else is history in an authentic, genuine way defeated death to prove that what they said or did was true. Only Joshua of Nazareth did that. No one else can know for certain the reasons Joshua of Nazareth spoke the things he spoke or did the things he did except Joshua himself. Therefore, it is unreasonable or foolish to look to others to understand Joshua when we have the words and sayings of Joshua himself. As he says, if we do not believe the truth he speaks - NOT Paul or Peter or Moses or Popular 'evangelist' etc. - then we are "not of God".
Who else’s words does this saying apply to? Paul? Peter? Moses? Some contemporary preacher who claims to represent God? Why would you listen to other's words which will pass away?
Who else’s teachings or instructions will affect how we are judged at the last day? Paul’s? Peter’s? Moses’? Some contemporary preacher who claims to represent God? If no one else's sayings will affect the judgment of your life, why would you listen to them? Who is Paul? Who is Moses? Who is Reverend Popular? Joshua says, "Many will come in my name and deceive many", thus describing the coming Christianity.
The Creator Himself projected his voice into the physical realm to tell us to listen to His beloved Son. Did he tell us to listen to Paul? Did he tell us to listen to Peter? Did he tell us to listen to Moses? Did he tell us to listen to some contemporary preacher? So why do you listen to them? Joshua says, "Many will come in my name and deceive many". Do you not believe him?
Whose word/teachings are we to continue in? Paul’s? Peter’s? Moses? Some contemporary preachers? The promise of being “made free” applies only to the words and teachings of Joshua of Nazareth, NOT ANYONE ELSES. So why would you listen to other's voices? Joshua says, "Many will come in my name and deceive many". Do you not believe him?
A few of the Hebrew Old Testament scriptures did point to the coming Savior of the world, and he did come and yet instead of doing what he says (“If you continue in MY WORDS…”) people still foolishly look to books and writings and scripture instead of “coming to the Son” that they might have life! People search the bible by the millions all to 'find the will of God' when God's will has been clearly spoken by the One who gives Life. Many say, 'Oh, I come to you, Jesus...', but they DO NOT GO to the One who is revealed by his own words in the four gospels, but rather to a 'Jesus' of their own (or their religions) making.
Why do Joshua’s disciples look to the Son as their only Standard for knowing God and what God wants?
No one knows God perfectly or in fullness except the Son, Joshua of Nazareth, and only Joshua can reveal what the Father is like and what the Father wants…only the Son can enable a person to know God. And why is that important?
Eternal life itself is comprised of knowing God!
And who gets to objectively judge who truly knew God?
While our Father allows us to choose our own destiny, our life choice’s will be judged by the Light. Everyone who claims some association to 'jesus christ' when they stand before the King on the last day will say, ‘Lord, Lord, did I not do all this good stuff for you...wasn't I a good person Lord...didn't I go to church and give money to charities?..didn't I know all the right bible verses and scripture’. And yet to many who say these things, he will answer, “Depart from me to the destiny you chose yet you now seek to avoid, for I never knew you for you choose to reject me for a 'christ' of your own making.”
Do not be deceived by the great lie that hide's Joshua of Nazareth - the lie that the bible is the word of God. Yield to faith and reason, dear reader – faith in the right thing (a person named Joshua of Nazareth, NOT a book), and reason according to Joshua’s own truths – and thus find Life!
The come, join the peaceful revolution!
